Graphite sketch of hanging wisteria in dark green

sunflower strong

in support of Ukraine

A tall sunflower grows from a human skull in the weeds against a blue and gold sky. A brass Russian military insignia lies in the weeds left of the skull.

I spent most of the morning my son stayed home from school painting this.  It ended up being one of those pieces that pours from you, and you can't stop until it's finished.  Love to Ukraine.  Love to the resistance.  Here's to those things we refuse to surrender to an abuser.

Prints of this piece are available in the shop.
Handwritten, cursive signature says "pea flower tea" in lowercase letters. The flower is a small sketch of a bloom, instead of the word for "flower".
